Why we make this
Pet clothing can be practical without becoming anonymous, and expressive without making the dog carry a joke. Barks, Bones & Betches began with one simple observation: many garments looked lively on a product page but ignored the moving animal inside them. We chose a different order of operations—measure, pattern, walk test, refine, then choose the color.
Our visual language is intentionally bright. Our construction decisions are intentionally quiet. Necklines should lie flat. Arm openings should clear the stride. Belly panels should stay out of the way. Seams should be smooth, and decoration should never create a chewable hazard.
Small batches, useful feedback
Working in short runs lets us inspect materials, watch how shapes behave across different builds, and improve the next cut. We do not promise that one chart can predict every dog. We do promise to explain how to measure, describe each silhouette honestly, and listen when a customer tells us where a shape could work better.

Barks, Bones & Betches is a new, independent US studio. It is not affiliated with any prior operator, shop, individual, or historical brand associated with this domain. The name, design system, photographs, products, and editorial material on this site belong to this project and its current operator.
